Most cartoning equipment is rated for a particular speed and its price is dictated by the machine speed. There are many other considerations, including changeover times, coding of product, footprint and infeed types. Slower speed applications typically use intermittent cartoning machines because they are smaller and less expensive. Higher speed applications will almost always need continuous motion equipment.
